Frankincense
The compound of Frankincense is a complete perfume onto itself that plays on the powdery and oriental qualities suggested in the pure essence of olibanum, which is at its base. Olibanum incense has been burned for centuries, and used for healing, protecting, consecrating and blessing. One very favorable attribute is that it neither excites nor sedates the human organism, it merely raises the vibration of a space. This enables it to be most useful in working with group forms of magic and ritual.
Frankincense will impart a soft, deep and powdery scent on the skin alone, and when in combination with other oils, it provides a soft base that blends well and easily with deeper, earthier compositions.
